1. Purpose of the Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy aims to inform users and organizations about how Djokki collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data in connection with the use of the Djokki platform (hereinafter the “Platform”).

Use of the Platform implies acceptance of this Privacy Policy, in addition to the Terms and Conditions of Use (TCU).

2. Data Controller

The Djokki Platform is a product and service operated by DJOYOW GH LTD, a company duly registered in accordance with applicable laws

Djokki does not constitute a separate legal entity, but rather a technical and commercial platform operated by DJOYOW GH LTD.

3. Personal Data Collected

3.1 Data Provided by Users

Djokki may collect the following data when creating and using an account:

  • first name,
  • last name,
  • username,
  • email address,
  • phone number,
  • country,
  • password (stored in encrypted form),
  • information provided during communications with customer support.

3.2 Data Related to Organizations

As part of the creation and management of an organization, Djokki may collect:

  • identification information of the responsible natural or legal person,
  • supporting documents voluntarily provided (identity documents, registration documents, articles of incorporation, or equivalent),
  • administrative and financial information necessary for the management of services.

3.3 Data Collected Automatically

When using the Platform, certain technical data may be collected automatically, including:

  • IP address,
  • browser type and device type,
  • technical logs and connection data,
  • usage and navigation data..

4. Payment Data

As part of the paid services offered on the Platform, Djokki uses an internal tool called Dbiya, developed and operated by DJOYOW GH LTD, designed for the management, orchestration, and monitoring of payment transactions.

Dbiya is an internal technical platform that includes, in particular:

  • a management interface,
  • APIs,
  • a database for tracking transactions.

In this context, Dbiya may collect and store certain transactional and identification data, including:

  • transaction amount,
  • currency,
  • date and time,
  • payment status,
  • payment service provider used,
  • customer email address, first name, last name, phone number,
  • country of origin.

Djokki does not collect or store any sensitive banking data, such as credit card numbers or security codes.

Payment operations are carried out exclusively by third-party payment service providers (including FedaPay, PawaPay, and Paystack), which are solely responsible for processing banking data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Data stored via Dbiya is used exclusively for:

  • payment tracking,
  • subscription and revenue distribution management,
  • dispute and claim management,
  • customer support,
  • internal accounting and compliance obligations.

5. Purposes of Data Processing

The personal data collected is used solely for the following purposes:

  • creation and management of user accounts,
  • creation and administration of organizations,
  • access to services and subscriptions,
  • payment and revenue distribution management,
  • customer support, assistance, and mediation,
  • handling claims and disputes,
  • Platform security and fraud prevention,
  • improvement and optimization of the services offered.

6. Personal Data Contained in Published Content

Organizations may publish audiovisual content on the Platform that may contain personal data (image, voice, name, or any other information enabling the identification of a person).

In this context, Djokki acts exclusively as a technical hosting and distribution service provider.

Organizations remain solely responsible for:

  • the lawfulness of personal data contained in the published content,
  • obtaining all necessary authorizations from the individuals concerned,
  • respecting the rights of individuals appearing in the content.

Djokki does not systematically review published content but reserves the right to block, suspend, or remove any content that is reported or is manifestly non-compliant with the TCU or the Platform’s rules.

7. Content Hosting and Technical Infrastructure

Audiovisual content (videos, images, and associated media) is hosted and distributed via specialized technical infrastructures, including content delivery networks (CDNs) provided by third-party service providers.

Users and organizations acknowledge that, due to technical constraints inherent to these infrastructures:

  • media files, once uploaded and integrated into the distribution system, cannot be returned in the form of downloadable files,
  • organizations must retain their own copies and archives of the published content.

8. Data Sharing

Personal data may be shared only with:

  • technical service providers (hosting, CDN, maintenance),
  • third-party payment service providers, where necessary,
  • partners strictly involved in the operation of the Platform.

Djokki does not sell or commercially exploit the personal data of users or organizations.

Transactional data processed via Dbiya may be shared, where necessary, with the relevant payment service providers, strictly for verification purposes, dispute management, or operational compliance.

9. Data Retention Period

Personal data is retained for the duration necessary to provide the services.

Certain data may be retained after the deletion of an account or organization where necessary for:

  • dispute or claim management,
  • compliance with contractual or technical obligations,
  • security and fraud prevention.

Data is then deleted or anonymized once its retention is no longer necessary.

10. Data Security

Djokki implements reasonable technical and organizational measures, in line with generally accepted industry standards, to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure.

However, users acknowledge that the security of information systems cannot be guaranteed absolutely and that zero risk does not exist.

In the event of a security incident or data breach, Djokki undertakes to act diligently to limit the impact and secure the affected systems, and to inform the concerned parties where deemed appropriate.

11. User Rights

Users have, within certain limits, the following rights:

  • right of access to their personal data,
  • right to rectify inaccurate data,
  • right to delete certain data,
  • right to object to or restrict processing in certain cases.

12. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Platform may use cookies or similar technologies strictly necessary for its operation and for improving the user experience.

Users may configure their browser to refuse or limit the use of cookies, which may affect certain features of the Platform.

As part of the operation of the Platform, certain data may be processed or hosted by technical or payment service providers located in countries different from that of the user or organization.

Such transfers may occur, in particular, due to:

  • the use of cloud infrastructures, content delivery networks (CDNs), or hosting services,
  • the use of internationally operating payment service providers,
  • the technical centralization of certain services.

Djokki endeavors to select reputable service providers and to limit data transfers to information strictly necessary for the provision of services.

At this stage, Djokki does not guarantee full compliance with all local or international regulations relating to data transfers, but implements reasonable measures intended to reduce the risks of unauthorized access, loss, or misuse of data.

Use of the Platform implies acceptance by the user and the organization of such potential transfers.

14. Modification of the Privacy Policy

Djokki reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes shall enter into force upon their publication on the Platform.
